Cruz Jurado Traverso (born Buenos Aires, 1978) is an artist whose work is deeply influenced by his rural upbringing and early connection to landscape and horses. Trained in Fine Arts, he graduated as a Professor of Drawing and Painting from the Consudec Institute and continued postgraduate studies at the Ernesto de la Cárcova Institute, and studied under the guidance of artists Jorge Rajadell and Marcos Borio.
Based in the United Kingdom for the past 15 years, Cruz works from his own studio while teaching, producing commissions, and exhibiting internationally.
His practice centres on a figurative approach, encompassing portraits, landscapes, animals, and still life, primarily in oil and acrylic. Driven by color, light, and a search for harmony, his work invites viewers to engage emotionally and reconnect with the world around us.
His work is held in private collections worldwide and has been featured in major exhibitions including Cow Parade Buenos Aires, the RHS Chelsea Flower Show, and the Chelsea Art Society Summer Exhibition.
